Hey everyone, just like many of you, this too is my first time writing a blog.
So you might be wondering why a Pharmacist would need “fixitol,” when a Pharmacist’s main job is to treat patients making sure it is they who get the right medications, with the right doses at the right times? Well, is it just me or do my fellow Pharmacy students also feel that Pharmacists nowadays working in hospitals or in retail have limited themselves to simply entering orders, counting pills, and occasionally assisting customers? Working in a hospital pharmacy for many years now, as well as doing my one year rotation at Walgreens has allowed me to understand how some pharmacists work. Of course this is just my perspective, and I am sure there are many community and retail pharmacists out there who are interested in innovating the field of pharmacy into something exceptional, or…maybe not? Perhaps we just need to revamp the image of an RPh with some “Fixitol” eh?
My goal is to provide you with weekly doses via this blog by introducing you to various innovations in the field of Pharmacy, so that we too don’t limit ourselves when we become pharmacists.
